The Regulations of Minsk City General Layout, approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus as of 23.04.2003 № 165, foresee relocation of “Machine-Tool Plant named after S.M.Kirov” RE from the central part of Minsk City. The source of financing is not yet determined. Lists of equipment, intended for assemblage on the site of MZAL PRUE, have been prepared and submitted to the design organization.
Project is to be financed at the investor’s expense wishing to carry out investment activity in the territory which will become free in the central part of Minsk after relocation of “Machine-Tool Plant named after S.M.Kirov” RE.

The preferred development direction of “Machine-Tool Plant named after S.M.Kirov” RE is development and manufacture of pull-broaching and cutting machines as well as special machines on their basis (rail-cutting machines etc.). “Machine-Tool Plant named after S.M.Kirov” RE has started to manufacture frontal and rear hitch attachments for perspective high horsepower tractors 25-22 and 30-22 of “MTZ” RUE. In accordance with the State Program “Lignum fossil”, “Machine-Tool Plant named after S.M.Kirov” RE has started to manufacture TCB-6F lignum fossil carrying wagons for lignum fossil mining enterprises of the Republic. Together with the “Scientific and Practical Center for Agriculture Mechanization of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus” RUE, “Machine-Tool Plant named after S.M.Kirov” RE has started to manufacture a complex of stone cleaning machines. Within the framework of the import substitution program for the year 2009, “Machine-Tool Plant named after S.M.Kirov” RE has launched wheel pair production resulting in a considerable reduction of imported components in the wagon production costs.
